Vision

Believing that education must be uniquely tailored to meet each student's needs, and that our young peoples' educational paradigm needs to be transformed from a dreaded, compulsory experience to a personally self fulfilling, enriching journey we respectfully present the following proposal.

 Exodus Academy's
Philosophy of Education- under mission

Statistics confirm that we are failing, in a variety of ways, to meet the needs of an ever, increasing number of our young people.  Politicians are competing with academic and social programs.  Family structures and schedules daily run out of time and energy.

The Information Age is electronically attempting to fill the void.  But no matter how sincere the attempts many of our young people are falling through the cracks.  Exodus Academy, Inc has been established believing an educational program that is authentic and relevant, will give students the ability to progress on their unique learning continuum, and thus enable students to reach their full potential.

Education must be authentic and relevant to keep a student engaged.  Education is defined, "to provide with training for some particular purpose".  Today's sophisticated student needs to see that the "particular purpose" is really daily living for their time.  Out dated text book facts and useless exercises will not create life long learners.  Today's students must see education/learning as something that addresses and will help them resolve their urgent, unique need.  Once given tools that meet their basic needs students will be able to look toward the future.

Students need to be met at their own, unexampled, educational continuum , with a portion of the skills necessary to begin their process of problem solving.  The facilitator must continually, carefully evaluate and reassess each student's academically and emotionally progress.  Remedial yet relevant work must be given so as to gently allow progress on their educational continuum.  Once students cogitatively become aware of their progress they will see their value and begin to take pride in themselves.

Students' potential can only be reached when they become an active participant in the educational process.  Again, the facilitator must provide an educational scaffolding for the student to safely, but always moving forward, set and reach attainable goals.

The people associated with Exodus Academy, Inc believe that the Father has clearly instructed us, as adult believers, to work toward the goal of creating an educational model that allows students to see education pertinent to their day, to move along a continuum at their own momentum, thus reaching their G-d given potential.  Since this next generation is too precious to waste we need to utilize governmental programs, support family structures, while taking advantage of modern technology.  We solicit your assistance in this endeavor to alter our negative youths' statistics.

The mission of Exodus Academy, Inc. is to provide at-risk students with tools that
will enable them to be successful contributors to society
